My name is Dena, and I am the founder of Livewell Maui. Livewell Maui grew out of a lifelong love of beautiful spaces, and a belief that the home is the foundation of life. When our home feels good, we have a stronger place to return to, no matter what life brings.

I grew up in a home shaped by my mother’s artistic eye. She had a natural gift for beauty, color, and textiles, and she taught me to notice the details. Some of my earliest memories are of going with her to fabric stores, helping choose curtain and comforter fabrics, and watching how these choices could completely transform a room.

That early love of beauty eventually led to a career in graphic design, where I learned that good design is not only about how something looks, but how well it works. Over the years, I honed my design eye while working with businesses in all industries.

Later, while caring for my mother during chemotherapy, I came to understand how deeply nutrition matters. When we were told that what she ate did not matter, I began doing my own research, preparing meals and green juices to help ease the side effects of treatment. That experience changed the way I understood nourishment and the importance of having practical support during challenging times of life.

Over time, all of my passions started to come together: design, food, style, organization, care, and systems.

Working at Joy’s Place Live in Pukalani brought everything into even clearer focus. I saw how many people are stretched thin while trying to make good choices. I also saw how much people value a trusted face, a thoughtful conversation, and support that feels both practical and personal.

Livewell Maui brings all of these threads together.

I value empathy, practical support, and creating a non-judgmental space. I take the time to understand what is working, what is not, and what kind of support will actually make life feel easier.

My goal is not just creating a more organized home, but a stronger foundation for living well.
